Sincerely, Saph
~ABOUT THE AUTHOR~
I'm Sapphire, but you can call me Saph :) I'm based in Canada and blogging is my hobby.
I'm a pretty balanced mix of introverted and extroverted, and I have an obsession with books. Writing and blogging have been my hobbies for a while now, but this blog and my bookstagram is the first time I put them out onto the internet.
Music is also a huge part of my life. I play the piano and the clarinet, and recently learned a little bit of guitar. My dream is to be able to play the cello! Along with music, I also do dance and I really enjoy learning new dances. Let me know if you have any music (or book) recommendations :)
Another one of my passions is painting, especially with oil paints. My favourite medium is definitely painting with poster colours.
An art form I enjoy doing is quilling, which in my opinion deserves more popularity. Tanjore painting has my heart as well. I love looking at antique/vintage art and old art styles, especially from different parts of the world.
Like I mentioned before, I'm a huge bookworm, and the genres I love reading include;
- Mystery
- Horror/Thriller
- Fantasy
- Romance
- Classics
- Historical Fiction
I'd like to think that I'm good at writing, even if typos and semicolons will be the death of me.
I started off being super excited about starting this blog, but procrastinated on when I should begin writing for it. Then one day a few-ish years ago, I put out my first post! It went uphill from there, and I was surprised at all the support I was receiving in such a short amount of time.I ended up taking a break from blogging and not posting for a couple months, using that time to work on education related things and procrastinating on generally everything blog-related. One day as I sat in my cave of despair, I decided to check in on my blog, expecting to see nothing but tumbleweed in the viewer statistics.
I was surprised to see that the views had actually tripled in time! That was probably one of my biggest motivators to continue with blogging, all the support I get from my readers and family.
I decided to put my passions together and turn this blog into a book blog, as well as start my bookstagram. This blog is a space for me to post about anything book related or literature related, but sometimes I like stepping out of my boundaries and posting about other topics as well.
I also happen to give out some of the best book recs, if I do say so myself. Make sure you subscribe and/or follow me for updates and book recs!

So far its been an amazing journey with my blog, I've learned many new things about myself, and met so many like-minded people.
Here I am today, and I would not have done it without all the support from everyone! We've reached 10k readers so far, a milestone I hadn't even dared to dream for. I'm forever grateful to each one of you for allowing me to achieve my goals on this platform 💗
Thank you to every person out there reading this page- you're amazing and I appreciate you :)
Love it!

Deleteim thinking of making a website too, your about me pahe is cool to read! do u have any tips????
ReplyDeletethank you!
DeleteIt's cool that you want to make a website! As for tips, maybe think about if you want to make a website or a blog first, because both of them are actually two different things! Also, make sure the domain/platform you decide to make your website on is easy to use and (preferably) free.
And of course, be patient :) It's okay if you don't get as much interaction at first, with the right marketing and time, you'll be just fine <3
Good luck!
